Job Price Calculator
Work out what to quote for a job so you actually keep the profit margin you want. Margin is the share of the price you keep, not a markup on cost. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is stored or sent.
How it works
Direct cost = labor hours × hourly labor cost + materials + other job costs. Cost with overhead = direct cost × (1 + overhead %). Quote price = cost with overhead ÷ (1 − margin %). Example: $700 of cost at a 25% margin is $933.33, not $875, because 25% of the price must be profit.
Your overhead percentage is your yearly non-job costs (insurance, vehicle, software, office) divided by your yearly direct job costs. If you do not know it, 10–20% is a common starting guess, but use your own books.
