Typical prices for house cleaning

These are consumer-facing figures from 2026 cost guides, not rules. They show where the market sits so you can tell whether your price is far above or below it.

By home size, Angi lists a 1,000 sq ft home at $100 to $200 for a regular clean and $120 to $250 for a deep clean, 2,000 sq ft at $200 to $400 and $240 to $500, and 3,000 sq ft at $300 to $600 and $360 to $750. By bedrooms, Angi shows a 2-bedroom home at $100 to $150 regular and $120 to $200 deep, a 3-bedroom at $130 to $200 and $150 to $300, and a 4-bedroom at $150 to $210 and $200 to $420. What moves the price

Check the price against your hourly pay

Whatever method you quote with, divide the job price by the cleaner-hours it takes. That number has to cover wages, supplies, travel and taxes and still leave profit. The house cleaning estimate calculator shows this figure for every quote. See how to calculate labor cost and your overhead rate for the inputs.

Set a minimum charge

A small apartment still costs you travel and setup time. Set a minimum job charge from your hourly cost times the real time a small job takes, and show any adjustment as its own line.

A worked quote

One 1,800 sq ft home, standard clean, using example rates (yours will differ):

Standard clean: 1,800 sq ft × $0.10$180.00
Bathrooms: 2 × $10$20.00
Oven cleaning: 1 × $40$40.00
Total$240.00

Check it against the market: Angi shows a 2,000 sq ft home at $200 to $400 for a regular clean, so about $180 to $360 scaled to 1,800 sq ft, and $240 sits inside that range, although the $0.10 rate is at the low end of Angi's $0.10 to $0.20. Check it against your pay: at 350 sq ft per cleaner-hour the job takes 1,800 ÷ 350 = 5.14 cleaner-hours, so $240 ÷ 5.14 = $46.67 per cleaner-hour, inside the $25 to $70 range Angi lists before supplies, travel and taxes. A deep clean uses the 1.5× multiplier in the calculator (1,800 × $0.10 × 1.5 = $270 before extras). These figures are examples, not recommended prices.
