Frequently asked questions
Is the estimate and invoice maker really free?
Yes. Make as many estimates and invoices as you like, add your logo and download them as PDF. There is no sign-up and no watermark across the page; a small line at the bottom says which free tool made it.
Where is my data stored?
Only in your own browser on this device. Nothing you type, including your logo and customer details, is sent to our server. Clearing your browser data removes the draft.
How do I save the estimate as a PDF?
Click Download PDF. Your browser's print window opens; choose Save as PDF as the destination. On a phone, use Share or Print and then Save to Files.
What is the difference between an estimate and an invoice?
An estimate tells the customer what a job will cost before you start; an invoice asks for payment after the work (or a stage of it) is done. Switch between them with the Estimate / Invoice toggle.
How should I price the line items?
Start from your real costs and the margin you want. The free job price calculator divides cost by (1 minus your target margin), so a $700 job at a 25% margin is $933.33, not $875.
