Job Sales Tax Calculator

Enter materials, labor and your local sales tax rate. You get the tax and the invoice total. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is stored or sent.

How it works

Tax = taxable amount × rate. Example: $1,500 materials × 8.25% = $123.75 tax. Labor of $2,000 is not taxed here, so the total is $1,500 + $123.75 + $2,000 = $3,623.75. Whether labor, materials or both are taxable differs by state and by type of work, so check your state revenue department or a local accountant for your own rules. The 8.25% default is only an example.
